Vintage Babies! 70'S is back for 2011

70's fashion makes a strong comeback this year for Spring/Summer 2011 bringing its sophistication, boldness and elegance. This year, the 70's fashion trend combines classic bohemian, with modern staples.

This is the new bohemia: cleaner, sexier, and much sleeker than its flower-child forerunner. Wide leg trousers are the new skinny jeans, long flowing maxi dresses are the new minis, and high-waisted pants are now taking over low-waisted pants, Retro bohemian staples like peasant blouses, floor-grazing skirts, and wide-leg trousers reminiscent of the Original Charlie Angel’s. 70's fashion was full of vivid colours and bold prints, from tangerine to regal blues, these bright hues were worn without fear. The 70's trend is completely wearable for you to combine daytime and night time trends together.
The 70’s is an amazing trend because it incorporates all the other trends with in it such as colour (lots of it) whether pale or vivid. Try to go for either a monochrome, multi-coloured, colour-blocking, bold prints or nude pastel colours (if you afraid of colour or fear of looking like a hot mess) outfit depending on personal preference. Accessorize your outfit with belts the Multi-buckled, bow-tied, slim or super-sized: waist-cinching belts, hats from sombreros to Stetsons, spring's hats have a dressing-up box charm, handbags with long straps accessorised by layers of necklaces  and most importantly the right shoes. OH and if you daring extend this trend beyond clothes to make-up like eye shadow (but please ladies ONLY TRY THIS IF YOU CAN, we want you to look beautiful)
Inspire yourself from the fabulous fashion collections by Gucci, Jason Wu, Chloe, Derek Lam, Diane von Furstenberg and Karl lagerfeld. Also check out these other collections by Fendi, Salvatore Ferragamo, Etro, Marc Jacobs
